BOGOBE JWA LEROTSE & SESWAA SA PODI

INGREDIENTS FOR BOGOBE JWA LEROTSE

1litre kgodu ya lerotse

1 cup madila (Sour Milk)

3 cups bopi jwa mabele or ting (fermented sorghum meal)

 

Cooking Method

1) Boil Kgodu ya lerotse and Madila

2) Add bopi jwa mabele or (fermented sorghum meal) stirring occasionallyto avoid lumps forming.

3) Bring to simmer for about 20-25 minutes under very low temperature

4) Then serve with Seswaa sa Podi

 

Ingredients for Seswaa Sa Podi

1 Kg Goat meat                                   

5 lt beef stock

Salt

(Serves 5 people)

Cooking Method

1) Chop goat meat into smaller pieces and wash thoroughly

2) Then bring stock and salt to the boil, and add all meat and boil for 3 hours or until meat is tender or separates from the bones with ease. If not keep on topping up with stock as until well cooked.

3) After all stock has evaporated, set aside to cool and then pound the meat, first, remove the bones and excess fat.

4) After pounding, make sure that the meat is not dry, add sufficient of remaining stock to seswaa so that it is moist but not too wet.

Then serve with Bogobe Jwa Lerotse ENDS
